A new way to start your Sundays with your dog
We’re excited to introduce something new at ASCENDK9 - Slow Sundays Settle Club, a relaxed monthly group walk experience designed to bring together dog owners who want calmer, more structured real-world outings with their dogs across Essex and Hertfordshire.
This isn’t your typical group dog walk. It’s a slower, more intentional experience focused on helping dogs learn to stay calm, build neutrality around distractions, and develop better real-world behaviour in everyday environments.
What is The Slow Sundays Settle Club?
Slow Sundays Settle Club is a monthly community walk that combines three simple elements:
A relaxed structured group walk
A coffee stop at a local independent café ☕
Dedicated settle time in the park 🌿
The aim is to create a calm, enjoyable morning where dogs can practice switching off around others, and owners can enjoy a supportive, like-minded community.
Each session is designed to feel structured but not overwhelming, giving dogs the opportunity to experience real-world environments in a controlled and positive way.
Who is it for?
This club is ideal for dogs who:
Are comfortable walking in a group environment
Can remain reasonably calm around other dogs and people
Are building confidence in real-world settings
Would benefit from structured exposure and settle practice
If your dog struggles significantly in group environments or finds other dogs overwhelming, we recommend starting with an Initial Assessment first, so we can help build the foundations and get the most out of future ASCENDK9 group sessions
Supporting local communities
One of the key parts of Slow Sundays Settle Club is supporting local independent businesses. Each session includes a stop at a carefully chosen local café or coffee vendor, helping us give back to the communities we walk in while enjoying a well-earned coffee after the walk!
