Every new client begins with an Initial Assessment.

From there, you’ll be guided onto the most appropriate training pathway for your dog’s needs - whether that’s puppy foundations, skills development or a structured behaviour change programme.

This 60-minute in-depth session allows us to:

• Review your dog’s routine, exercise and fulfilment
• Assess behaviour history and triggers
• Evaluate engagement and communication
• Begin foundation training immediately
• Put management strategies in place

At the end of your assessment, you’ll receive a clear recommendation for the appropriate next steps required to reach your goal.

5 Private Lessons - £285

For puppies up to 6 months old.

We focus on building clear communication, engagement and calm exposure from the start to prevent future behavioural issues.

We cover:

  • Routine, sleep and preventing overstimulation

  • Marker training and engagement through food

  • Lead foundations and recall skills

  • Neutrality around people, dogs and environments

  • Confidence building without flooding

  • Preventing common adolescent issues

Puppy Foundations Plan

3 Private Lessons - £195

For dogs over 6 months who need clearer structure and more reliable basics.

Ideal for:

  • Lead pulling

  • Impulse control gaps

  • Owners wanting better engagement and responsiveness

Across three structured sessions, we refine communication, tighten foundations and improve reliability in real-world settings.

Core Skills Plan

6 Private Lessons - £390

For dogs over 6 months struggling with:

This six-session programme allows us to:

  • Review and stabilise lifestyle factors contributing to stress

  • Build strong engagement and communication foundations

  • Introduce structured, gradual exposure

Behaviour Reset Plan

6 Private Lessons - £450

For dogs 1 year+ who have the foundational skills in place and are ready to develop off-lead reliability.

At the start of the programme, you will receive expert guidance and a personalised recommendation for the e-collar system best suited to your dog, giving you the confidence to begin safe and effective training.

Across the six sessions, we will:

  • Introduce e-collar principles as a clear communication tool

  • Build strong engagement and focus on the handler

  • Practice off-lead skills in controlled environments

  • Gradually increase distractions safely

  • Develop reliable recall and decision-making for real life

  • Train for safe, enjoyable off-lead freedom for both dog and owner

This 60-minute session is the mandatory first step for all new clients and allows us to assess your dog’s needs, start foundation work, and recommend the most suitable training pathway - whether that’s Puppy Foundations, Obedience Refinement, or the Reactivity & Behaviour Plan.

After your assessment, you’ll receive a recommended pathway suited to your dog, with consistent support to build obedience, confidence, and real-world skills.

Initial Assessments are held at The Latton Bush Centre Recreation Ground, Harlow, Essex.

  • Following your Initial Assessment, we will recommend the most suitable pathway and number of sessions. Behavioural cases require a minimum of six sessions.

  • No. Reactivity is an emotional response pattern and requires structured repetition, gradual exposure, and owner consistency. Quick fixes often suppress behaviour rather than change it.

  • Progress depends on consistency. You’ll receive structured exercises to complete between sessions, ensuring real results.

  • Yes. ASCENDK9 creates a safe, structured environment for owners and dogs who may lack confidence or struggle around triggers.

  • No, but we suggest using our Virtual Coaching service or sending videos across to us if specific behaviours are arising in the home environment.

    We’ve carefully chosen our Harlow training location to provide free parking, easy access to hard-standing areas, and quiet green spaces - ideal for focused, distraction-controlled lessons.

    This setting helps your dog stay calm and engaged, making the training more effective from the very beginning.
