ASCENDK9 Charity Pack Walk for Mind: Coming This December!
We’re so excited to share that this December, ASCENDK9 will be hosting a special charity pack walk in support of Mind, the mental health charity. This event will take place at one of our favourite walking spots - Panshanger Park in Hertford - and it’s shaping up to be a truly festive morning for both dogs and their humans!
Walking for a cause this Christmas - join us in supporting Mind on December 21st.
Why Panshanger Park?
If you’ve joined us there before, you’ll know why it’s such a gem. Panshanger Park offers beautiful open spaces, woodland trails, lakeside paths and plenty of natural scenery - the perfect setting for calm, structured walking and relaxed conversation. It’s a great place to practice neutrality around other dogs, take in some fresh winter air, and remind ourselves just how grounding time in nature with our dogs can be.
Supporting Mind This Christmas
This time of year can be difficult for many people. The shorter days, the pressure of the festive season, and the feeling of isolation that winter can bring - all of these can take a toll on our mental health. For many of us, our dogs are a huge source of comfort and stability during those tougher times.
That’s why supporting Mind feels especially meaningful. Their work helps people feel less alone, offering vital mental health support and community resources. Through this walk, we want to not only raise funds for an important cause, but also bring together dog owners who might benefit from a morning of connection, positivity, and shared purpose.
Fresh air, good company, and dogs… what more do you need?
A Walk for Everyone
Normally, our RISE:SYNC Pack Walks are open only to ASCENDK9 clients - but for this special charity event, everyone is welcome to join! Whether you’ve trained with us before or just want to meet like-minded owners, this is your chance to get involved.
The walk will be on-lead only, with a focus on neutrality, calm behaviour, and respectful distance between dogs. We want this to be a safe, supportive environment for all - including those with anxious or reactive dogs. This isn’t about showing off perfect obedience, but about walking together as a community that understands and encourages one another.
Festive Extras
At the end of the walk, I’ll be treating every dog to their very own festive pup cup as a little thank you for joining us and helping raise money for Mind. (Because no good deed should go unrewarded, right?)
Keep your eyes peeled - full details and booking info will be announced soon! Spaces will be limited to ensure a calm and enjoyable experience for everyone, so you won’t want to miss it.
Let’s make this December one to remember - walking together, supporting one another, and giving back to a cause that truly matters!
