Client stories and training results

Below are real client stories from across ASCENDK9 training, showing the progress dogs have made through structured, real-world coaching and consistent support.

“Communication and support have been exceptional. The video updates give me clear things to focus on, and I feel far more confident handling Gatsby. We’ve seen steady progress in his engagement, responsiveness, and overall behaviour on walks.”

— Owner of Gatsby, Cocker Spaniel | Walk & Train client

Meet Gatsby

Gatsby’s owner chose Walk + Train to help with reactivity towards other dogs and improve engagement outside the home. Having already completed private and group training with ASCENDK9, she wanted a way to build consistency between sessions and everyday walks.

“Engagement has improved massively. Becky takes her time to understand each dog’s needs and tailors each session accordingly. The communication and weekly updates are outstanding, and we really look forward to them.”

— Owner of Oscar, Cocker Spaniel | Walk & Train client

Meet Oscar

Oscar was struggling with lack of engagement, loose lead walking, and reactivity prior to starting Walk + Train. Having previously worked with ASCENDK9 through private lessons and day training, his owner chose Walk & Train to build consistency and real-world progress. Since starting the programme, engagement has improved significantly, with noticeable positive changes in his confidence and behaviour on walks.

“Becky knows dogs and has a calming yet positive attitude at all times. Albie is gradually improving and his lead work and walking to heel are showing real progress.”

— Owner of Albie, Wire Fox Terrier | Walk & Train client

Meet Albie

Albie, a young Wire Fox Terrier, was an energetic and highly excitable puppy who struggled with over-arousal around people and other dogs, making him difficult to control in stimulating environments. Since starting Walk + Train, he has begun to learn impulse control and develop better lead work and heel walking. Albie has made steady improvements in his ability to stay engaged and respond more calmly on walks.

“I wholeheartedly recommend Becky and ASCENDK9. She has a lovely balanced approach to training and a real passion for what she does. We are already seeing improvements, especially with fewer reactions to other dogs and better loose lead walking.”

— Owner of Ava, Husky Cross | Walk & Train client

Meet Ava

Ava, a Husky cross, was sometimes struggling with neutrality around other dogs, a strong prey drive, inconsistent loose lead walking, and limited recall. Since starting Walk + Train, she has shown steady progress, with fewer reactions to other dogs and improved loose lead walking, particularly in busier environments. Her owner has also found the practical guidance for real-life situations, such as close passes, particularly helpful.
